We are The Furballs! (Puppy Cafe)

Hey guys,

There are so many café opened around the world, but the best café opened so far is for the dogs and it is the Dog café, We are The Furballs. Singapore’s FIRST Dog petting café. All the Dog lovers out there, this is a place you would not wish to miss. I don’t actually need a pet at home because sometimes the maintenance and looking after can be expensive. Also sometimes my family is not in a favour in keeping a pet whether a cat or a dog as they are all working and no one is there to look after them at home.  So when I heard of this Dog café I was so happy and excited to visit them. I have been to cat café earlier. What you can do is to visit this café as and when you like and show your love to these dogs.

Once I stepped in the café with my mother we just fell in love with all the 8 pets roaming around the place. They are so adorable and loving that you would not feel like leaving them at all. They are so cute and harmless. These furry dogs are of various colour and sizes.

IMG_2185IMG_2162

We bought some food which came in small packets at reasonable price for these dogs to feed them.

IMG_2193

Although the café doesn’t serve food we still enjoyed having some beverages. Each time they saw some food pellets in our hand they came running to have them. We loved petting them so much that they would sit on our laps cuddled for very long.

We played with them, took photos and enjoyed every moment with these cute little furry balls.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day is a special day for me. As mothers are so precious, so is mine to me. Mother’s Day should be celebrated everyday but I think it is one perfect day to show her how exceptionally we love her for what she is.

Also, special mother’s day wishes to the people who no longer have their mother’s with them physically but they are with you all your life in your heart!

I have always been a best friend to my mother and so has she. All my friends used to say that I end up sharing everything with my mother but I think a person who can understand you better and who can support you in every situation of life is my mother. There are many teenagers who hide so many things from their parents but I am very open to my parents especially my mother. Though she goes to work every day, cooks delicious food for us and also whenever we find time we watch movies together, I help her with some household chores. We talk to each other and share so many things. It doesn’t matter if we sometimes have a small tiff with each other but after sometime we are normal.

I so much appreciate the way my mother balances being my friend and being my mom. She is definitely someone that I can tell everything to and have a great time with but when a serious matter comes up, she always has the right amount of “mom” to handle the situation correctly.

Often, it’s just the simple and real moments spent with their moms that girls need the most. The moments that are just about being together – nothing fancy, just good old-fashioned time spent together – end up being the times that build that precious trust, support, and open communication.

My mother felt so special and overwhelmed when I wished her in the morning on Mother’s Day. There was a lot of appreciation and gratitude for her. A gift is not necessary to give but saying some beautiful words to praise her is enough to keep her happy. She can realise that if I don’t have much time to spend with her or say something nice to her, I always feel high of her all the time.

Celebrating Mother’s Day is just to give her a break from all the routine work and stress that she goes through day and night for the family. As Mother’s Day falls on a Sunday, it’s a good time to relieve her from all the work for that day. So, we planned to take her out for dinner in a nice place. So, in the afternoon we went to gurudwara and came back and rested for a while. In the evening, we went to Changi Airport shopping malls and then we went for dinner in Bugis.

We also got some gifts and flowers from Jeremy Ratnam of Power 98FM as there was some Mother’s day special programme for passer-by at Bugis Junction. We had lots of fun and enjoyed a lot.

“My mother was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love” by Stevie Wonder.

Ferra Hotel, Boracay!

IMG_1211

If you are up to date with my social media then you might know that I recently went to Boracay, Phillipines. This dream come true opportunity came to me through Ferra Hotel.

Note: My stay was sponsored but the reviews are of my own.

So to get to Boracay, you can go to two airports from Singapore, Caticlan or Kalibo. If you go from Kalibo, you have to take a bus from there which takes 2-3 hours. So it is better to go to Caticlan Airport. Then, take a ferry to Boracay.

Ferra Hotel’s marketing manager had invited me for a 2night 3 days stay. I was so excited to go because Boracay was in my bucket list for so long. So, I thank Ferra hotel for inviting me. As I arrived, they provided us with welcome drinks which was so refreshing and I am not kidding when I say that I had 3/4 glasses of it haha. As we arrived early and my room was getting ready, we relaxed at the lobby for a short while and the hotel shuttle took us to the D’Mall and the beach. I had travelled for almost 12 hours and I was so tired, though, the drink was refreshing.

The swimming pool was a bit small and next to the restaurant where we had breakfast but in my opinion that brightened up the place and gave it a cool feeling. I really loved the concept. I know some people find it awkward but in my opinion it’s a little different and interesting.

The Food:

My dinners were at The Ruf Restobar. It is located at the rooftop of Ferra Hotel. We got to taste some amazing food. I personally did not like the food in Boracay but the food that I got in The Ruf RestoBar was what I needed. It is very affordable as compared to what you get outside. The quality of the food is amazing. Outsiders are also allowed to visit the Ruf Restobar so it is the best option to go there even if you are not staying in the hotel itself.

We were served with sumptuous local delicacies at the Ruf Restobar of the Hotel having a splendid time with the beautiful weather and soothing ambiance. The food included their special steamed fish with ginger and some chicken and rice. We are grateful to them.

Activities:

We went for a one day island hopping. We checked from different places for it but i felt that the prices that Ferra Hotel quoted were better and it was safe to go with the group that they suggested. Honestly, I enjoyed every bit of it except the free lunch. Personally, I am not a sea food fan so I did not enjoy the food as much as I enjoyed every bit of every island we visited specially the snorkelling. I would suggest you to book the activities through the hotel.

All in all, I really loved my stay at the Ferra Hotel. Specially the hospitality and warmth I got from the staff working there. I felt like home and like one happy family. I would definitely visit there again and would suggest you to visit there too so you can experience the perfect and comfortable island life.

I also met some amazing people I will never forget.

A magical day in Singapore!

Blog1

Hey guys,

I am so sorry I’ve been so out of touch but I needed a little time to myself. But I am back now, exploring Singapore, eating, traveling and clicking pictures (sometimes i do look like a fool haha).

Today I took a break and went to Suntec City. We came across the fountain of wealth and I planned to stop there and take a few pictures. Must-do steps for the good things from the fountain are:

1). Stretch out your right hand and touch the water.

2). Make a silent wish.

3). Follow the directional sign (which is to your left).

4). Walk around 3 times.

This was the first time I had done something like this but the weather was amazing and it felt good. I think anyone who visits Singapore must go there once.

Then we had dinner at the Food Republic where you can get a variety of cuisines.

Thai Curry Chicken Rice with spicy sauce!

Veg spring rolls with spicy sauce and Chicken fried rice with fish sauce!

img_9974

Roasted Chicken Rice without skin with spicy sauce!

img_99771

At last, we stopped at Yogurt land. It was like a magical place for someone who loves frozen yogurt. The best part is that it is a self served frozen yogurt experience with a view of the fountain of wealth. The decor is so cute. so this is how it works. You choose a cup from small, medium or large. Then you serve yourself with yogurt of your choice of flavour. The last and my favourite part are the toppings where you can choose any kind of topping and put it in your yogurt. The last step is to weigh the cup. 100g is S$3. So according your the weight of your personal made yogurt, you pay.

I ordered two kinds of yogurts. One was chocolate milkshake with toppings of gems, kitkat, marshmallows and shaved chocolate. Second was Salted Caramel Pecan with shaved chocolate, nuts and kitkat.

I personally loved the concept, the decor, the view and getting there is very easy.
